My co-worker recommended this restaurant as a great place to eat and it didn't disappoint. Not fancy by any means. . .the customer service was great, the food was delicious, and great value for your money. I will be back definitely and will continue to support this business.

This place is kinda old and grungy looking. There were some regulars that the waitress was favoring on ordering and whatnot. But they were old and hilarious. The food was not amazing but not bad either. The prices are really low so..... You should give it a try. There was a review on here that claimed this place is "RACIST" omg really? Red flag review. They said this place has outdoor seating. This place does not even have outdoor seating. There were multiple races of customers in this place and all were being served and treated well from what I could tell.
It's a diner, so don't be fooled by the appearance! If you want decent food at a reasonable price, this is the place. Go there hungry, Folks! The portions are huge (I call them "man-sized" and we always have leftovers)! The people are very friendly and the service is attentive without hovering. Cheryl's "splash -n- dash" with the coffee pot is hysterical to watch, but your cup is never empty! I do have a rant against people like the troglodytes who were there between 9 and 10 this morning. I'd call you two out further, but it might get thrown off Yelp. If you read this, you'll know who you are. I'm familiar with the prices and know your breakfast bill was between $24 and $27. You left a WHOPPING $2 tip. What's is worth to you to have someone wait on you hand and foot, cook your food, keep your cup full and clean up after you? Not to mention any little extras you may want. These people work hard and deserve your respect and to be treated with dignity, including leaving a decent tip. After your "largess" gets divided 5 ways (2 waitresses, 2 cooks and a prep cook/dishwasher), you left each of them .40 and should be ashamed!
Amazing pancakes!!! Small mom and pop type place. Wonderful food prices and great tasting food. Servers are friendly and efficient! The amount of food won't leave you hungry. Definitely a place you will want to visit often if you want a great breakfast
Fantastic new Bartender! Great customer service, knows you when you walk in, LOVE IT! Atmosphere is simple and friendly. Conveniently located. Haven't tried the food yet, however, looks wonderful. Patrons are friendly, invite you for a good game of pool. Glad I found this place!
Steve's is a good place to go for a decent filling breakfast at a fair price. Very traditional, no --in a bad way -- surprises. While Steve's looks kind of abandoned from the outside, it's not quite as bad inside. The service was great when I was there and the food was like homemade in that it was well prepared and tasty without the complications of some places that just try too hard to be trendy. Sometimes you don't need freshly chopped site grown herbs and wild caught salmon in your perfectly scrambled free range eggs. Oh, and the size of the pancakes is killer. Personally I am not a pancake lover but I did try the one that came with my breakfast and it tasted like Mom's. That's a good thing BTW.
Wow, if you're thinking of going here and need to be convinced, do it. They've got an amazing S.A.D. breakfast (Standard American Diet) and classic lunch choices too. The prices are low and the portions are stacked high! My $4.99 special was so big I couldn't finish it. The staff is friendly, they all seem like they already know you when you walk in. Sometimes I get worried in Springfield cause I'm queer and a weird looking human in general, and it's comforting to come to a place like Steve's where you get the same wonderful service as anyone else. While still preserving the familiar hospitality of a locally owned breakfast spot. They've got lotto and alcohol too if you're into that. What can I say? I'll be back.
